Regal’s New High-Performance Category-5, RJ-45 Connectors Exceed 100 BaseT/ATM Category-5 Crosstalk Specifications
by up to 20 dB!

Santa Clara, CA — Regal Electronics Inc. unveiled its new RJ-45 connector line targeted to high-speed Category-5 applications and beyond. Near End Cross Talk (NEXT) performance of the series is up to 10 dB better than Category-5 specifications for Ethernet applications, and up to 20 dB better than Category-5 specifications for ATM applications.

   The outstanding crosstalk performance of the 155 Series was accomplished using microwave design techniques. The new series was designed from the ground up to minimize crosstalk. With data rates projected at 1000 megahertz and beyond, crosstalk is a major challenge in computer and network connector applications. 

   In addition to superior crosstalk performance, the 155 Series is also available with an optional gasket for demanding EMC environments. The gasket adds about 10 dB better transfer impedance than the tab versions to handle the toughest EMC problems.

   Regal's new 155 Performance Series connectors use the standard RJ-45 footprint and will fit existing CAT-3 and CAT-5 designs. The connectors are available in configurations up to 12 port and are 50 micro” gold/FCC 68 Sub Part F compliant.
