Regal Electronics adds filtered line
to its high-speed
155 Series RJ-45 family

Sunnyvale, CA — Regal Electronics, Inc. has extended its Series 155, 100 Base -T, RJ-45 connector line to include a filtering option for common mode noise rejection. The addition of common mode noise reduction provides design engineers a broad range of performance options available with Regal’s RJ-45 connectors, such as, low crosstalk for high-speed 100 Base-T applications, gaskets for tough EMI environments, and now filtering to reduce common mode noise.

Regal reduces common mode noise by integrating an optional ferrite filter right into the base of its Series 155 and Series 152 (10 Base-T) RJ-45 connectors.  In addition to reducing common mode noise before it enters the connector assembly, there are the added benefits of controlled insertion loss and higher reliability since there are no solder joints to fail.

Regal Series 155, 100 Base-T, and Series 152, 10 Base-T, connectors are interchangeable and  available with one to eight ports. Connector dimensions for both series are identical with the ferrite filter option as without.  Prices for a shielded Series 155 connector with the ferrite filter start at $1.70 each in quantities of 1,000.   The ferrite filter option is now available for both the Regal Series 155, 100 Base-T, and Series 152, 10 Base-T, connectors.
