Regal Electronics’ Adds New Line of High-Power, High Efficiency, Micro Speakers and Receivers for PDA, Cell Phone and other Portable Applications

Sunnyvale, CA— Regal Electronics has added a new micro speaker to its product line that is a little over a half inch in diameter yet can handle up to a watt of peak input power. The new speaker has a frequency range of 600Hz to 20KHz.  The speaker is especially suited for portable applications such as PDAs, cellular phones, medical devices, modems, and games, where extended frequency range, high power and high efficiency are of real benefit to design engineers. Sensitivity is excellent too, at 82dB.  The micro speaker is constructed with a metal frame and Mylar diaphragm.

Regal also added a new micro receiver to its line that is about 3/8" inch in diameter.   The receiver can be used in annunciator applications where efficiency and small size are important.  Sensitivity is rated at 110 dB from 400Hz to 4 KHz.  The micro receiver is also constructed with a metal frame and Mylar diaphragms.
